The Antarctic Regional Climate Centre Network (AntRCC-Network) supports regional cooperation in climate monitoring, forecasting and the provision of climate services. Training activities and the Antarctic Climate Forum provide opportunities for scientific exchange, capacity development and engagement with users of Antarctic climate information.
The training programme equips scientists, policymakers and operational personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to interpret and apply climate information. It reflects the World Meteorological Organization's mandate for Regional Climate Centres to coordinate training activities and provide guidance on the use of RCC products and services.
Through workshops, seminars and collaborative discussions, the programme develops competencies in understanding long-range forecasts, interpreting climate diagnostics and using climate data services. The Antarctic Climate Forum complements these activities by facilitating dialogue between climate service providers and users.
