ANTARCTIC REGIONAL CLIMATE CENTER NETWORK

About the Network

The Antarctic Regional Climate Centre (AntRCC) Network provides authoritative and coordinated climate services tailored to the Antarctic region. It supports research, logistics, operations, and policy development by delivering high-quality, standardized climate information. The Network brings together expertise across climatology, sea ice monitoring, meteorology, and data management, enabling users to track climate variability and assess long-term trends.

WMO Affiliation

AntRCC operates under the framework of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) as part of its Global Network of Regional Climate Centres. It supports the implementation of WMO's Regional Basic Observing Network (RBON) and the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS).

Coordinated by AntAG

The Network is coordinated through the Antarctic Advisory Group (AntAG), ensuring alignment with WMO standards, scientific best practices, and user needs. AntAG facilitates oversight of climate monitoring, diagnostics, and the development of consensus statements.

Global Contributors

The AntRCC Network is a collaborative initiative involving over 15 countries engaged in Antarctic climate research. Contributions span climate monitoring, seasonal forecasting, data sharing, and scientific coordination through forums such as the Antarctic Climate Forum (AntCF). Participating institutions contribute data, tools, and expertise to advance understanding of the Antarctic climate system and strengthen services for the global community.

About Us
